The Geological Atlas of Africa: With Notes on Stratigraphy, Tectonics, Economic Geology, Geohazards, Geosites and Geoscientific Education of Each CountryGeological Atlas of Africa: With Notes on Stratigraphy, Tectonics, Economic Geology, Geohazards, Geosites and Geoscientific Education of Each Country  is the first known exerzise to summarise the mining geology of Africa by presenting it in the format of an atlas and to combine different aspects of stratigraphy, tectonics, economic geology, geohazards, geophysica, geochemistry, geosites and geoscientific education of each country and territory of the continent. Furthermore and to the users delight, the digitalized geological maps (on the attached CD-ROM) are correlated and amplified according to the present stratigraphic time tables. The atlas does contribute to capacity building in African Earth Sciences and to enhance research and economic opportunities in Africa by providing a database of basic geological background information.
